The little snuffles

of a sleeping cat are priceless. Smudge has made a nest in the blanket and is making tiny snuffles and moans. And if I scritch her chin just right she'll wake up with an inordinately loud protest meow. Best let her sleep.

@trackboy Sometimes I do, just to hear the peeps and other noises of complete surprise.
trackboy · 22-25, M
@Cavedweller grins the cat is surprised then. what other sounds of surprise?? should do it often. cats sleep to much. their job is to keep you company so you need to wake them up when they are sleeping.
Cavedweller · 46-50, F
@trackboy She's a really vocal girl. Talks ALL the time.
And even when she's sleeping she's good company; we spend lots of time snuggling.
Doesn't know how to catch mice though, we had a little fellow wander out from under the couch and she didn't bat an eye.

@Cavedweller @Cavedweller good cat meows a lot. awesome your cat sleeps next to you in bed. my cat slept next to me too. had to keep it from going under the blanket as had two blankets when it was cold and was not sure enough air would go through two blankets. you tried waking cat up with vacuum cleaner??? wow the cat wont catch mice. my cat did a good job of catching mice. what are you doing to do about the mouse in the house?? do you hear the mouse in the house chewing on stuff??
Cavedweller · 46-50, F
@trackboy It was a one off sighting of the mouse. No evidence that it has made a home in the flat. No droppings or other signs.
trackboy · 22-25, M
@Cavedweller see mouse in the house pretty often here. your lucky to have no more mouse in the house. did you know both mouse and house are spelled exactly the same after the first letter? that makes them a perfect rhyme. makes it fun to say mouse in the house. tried waking cat up with vacuum???
Cavedweller · 46-50, F
@trackboy She hates the vacuum. Goes straight under the bed and won't come out till it's turned off.
She's on my tummy now, sleeping and twitching. What was the name of your cat?
trackboy · 22-25, M
@Cavedweller that is why vacuum would be good way to wake up cat. i called it cat. the cat with no name. just like in the western the man with no name. wow cat is sleeping on your tummy! it was the little cat. for a while had both a big cat and a little cat. before that just the big cat. found the little cat starving in the yard one winter and started feeding it.
Cavedweller · 46-50, F
@trackboy Kudos to you for saving it's life!
trackboy · 22-25, M
@Cavedweller it was a really nice cat. followed me around the house. and followed me around the yard meowing at me. it liked laying on my lap purring big time. you going to wake your cat up with vacuum? why does your cat hide from vacuum???
trackboy · 22-25, M
@Cavedweller did you try waking up cat with vacuum???
Cavedweller · 46-50, F
@trackboy No! I don't want to frighten her on purpose! She's my little mate.
trackboy · 22-25, M
@Cavedweller it would wake the cat up really fast!!! lots of meows and purrs ???? 😺
Cavedweller · 46-50, F
It would scare the shit out of her! Lots of meows, no purrs.
trackboy · 22-25, M
@Cavedweller giggle lots of meows! cat would be wide awake then!!! maybe it would get used to the vacuum. 😺
