So sorry your wife has cancer. Cats and dogs sense of smell is much more keen than humans.
Orbiter · 36-40, M
@country78 Thank you! My cat does many weird things, so it's probably nothing.

Fernie · F
Cats do that when the owner doesn't feel well...dogs too. Mine would lay on my chest when I was ill or recouping from surgery...otherwise he never did it. Doesn't mean at ALL that something is going to happen.

They know.
The cat might just know she's ill

I heard of a lady who found out she'd skin cancer as her dog started to put his nose on the back of her leg everyday... She checked it out..she had cancer

@SW-User That's amazing. I'm glad they found it. I hope she's doing well.
SW-User
@Orbiter yes she's alive and doing welk👍

I think your cat knows she's sick. I'm so sorry. :(

Animals are very perceptive. There was a cat in a nursing home that would sense this. They can smell things and hear things humans cannot.

It’s been shown that some dogs sense cancer,
Surly the cat at the very least knows that the routines have changed..
Yes ..
Cats and dogs know ... it is uncanny ... I have seen it over and over.

Maybe he just knows she’s sick
Fernie · F
@Flenflyys right!!!
Orbiter · 36-40, M
@Flenflyys I agree. This past week has been extra difficult for her.
TerryCutter · 61-69, M
Honest mate dont worry too much. Lots of animals get a bit stressed in these things. Hope your wife's getting better.
Orbiter · 36-40, M
@TerryCutter Thank you!

@Orbiter Hang in there.

God man. So sorry.
Animals can pick up on emotions and I've read the scent of cancer, for whatever that's worth. Maybe something's changing in her.
Shannon27 · M
Absolutely.
I feel like it is to give her comfort. Many animals do this.
Ironically, chances are he's just picking up on her stress and trying to be of comfort, not realizing that in a way he's contributing to it. Best wishes to all of you.

@bijouxbroussard Thank you!
