I've had to put 2 dogs down. One was my little Schnauzer who had broken her neck and surgery was not recommended and she was in terrible pain that Demerol was not helping enough. The other one was my very old golden retriever who decided it was his time and stopped eating. Broke my heart both times but that's life.
