[i]More?[/i] No. I think many people project humanness onto animals. They ascribe human characteristics to them based on what they want to believe. I do believe they can feel to some degree and for sure show affection, but domesticated animals depend on us for their sustenance, so that also appears like love. But they are ever and always an animal and have animal instincts.
And when they attack, as they do, people are shocked because, guess what...the animal behaved like an animal.馃槵

TY. I do adore animals though, have pets/have raised many from birth. I just think it gets creepy when some elevate them to human status, dress them, call them their kids and sleep in bed with them. Yikes.
If they had the same mental/emotional capacity as humans, they would go to school, get engaged, drive cars, etc. etc.. ;-)

@Magenta I enjoy animals as well but I'm not a fucking idiot about them. You're right, when people call their pet their child, that's creepy.
