Evolution or mockery?

Chloe, my corgi mix rescue, and I have lived together for more that a decade.

Whenever I want her attention so she’ll cuddle with me. I just gently bump her with my leg. Sooner or later, she’ll respond.

(Why don’t I just call her? She’s deaf.)

In the past week or so, she’s started to do it to me. She positions her butt close to my leg and gently bumps me, pushing with her hind feet.

So, does this mean I’m not giving her enough attention? Is she making fun of me?

Or am I deaf now?

I actually think that's pretty sweet. She associates that light bump with a request for affection, and she is now "speaking" your language!
@DrWatson Yes. Me too.

I didn’t know she was deaf, or is this a recent development?

Bless her. She is relating to you 💜
@SwampFlower Well, I didn’t take her to an audiologist, but about a year ago she wasn’t her sweet obedient self. Still sweet but not listening. She uses her nose much more vigorously. She’s mostly blind now too.

@Mamapolo2016 she sounds like my old man/lady babies 🥺
That's so cute! She's a dog, never enough attention for some.
