Senior dog

So I have a 17 year old small dog. He's most Chihuahua but he's not a purebred.
He's in heart failure. He has mostly good days but a few bad. He's on 4 meds to help with the issue. But I wonder if there is any I could be doing at home to help keep him happy and healthy. What have you guys done to help your senior pups?

The best thing is to show them all the love you can. It is something that will make them ecstatic and we owe it to our most loyal friends.
It hurts us when they go but you will know they were happy.

@Arnoldjrmmer he is very loved and spoiled right now! He at least 7 dog bed and blankets around the house. His flavor place is his bed next to my daughter Brad bag chair but the fire place. I carry him up and down the stairs most of the time, he gets treats all the time. He wears sweater or hoodies to stay warm. We love him so much

@Cigarguy101 a person who loves animals has a core of goodness. Its one of the best parts of humanity that we can love other critters. They make it easier by the love they give back.
