Some acorns are edible without treatment, it's probably harmless.😆 The inedible ones are very bitter, he probably won't eat many, but if he seems like he doesn't feel well at some point it might be the acorns.

Acorns contain tannins, a type of chemical that is toxic to dogs. If eaten, acorns can cause upset tummies and, though rare, they can lead to liver and kidney failure and be fatal.
