Good question. I don't know. But I think it's like people. Everyone is born innocent and a blank slate. But some, irrespective of their environment, turn out 'bad.' I do think that love and attention with a puppy will most always help create a happy dog. But there could be something going on in their brains where that doesn't resonate.

@Wiseacre OK. I probably should have qualified that by saying some are born with chemical imbalances or other physiological challenges. But I believe that, by and large, we're products of our environment. We have nothing when we come in to the world. Everything is imprinted in our brains.What's imprinted creates the personality.

Yes, just as there are bad people. Bad karma. The Tibetans traditionally believed dogs were people in their previous lifetime and if they were treated well they would be people again next time.

@Wiseacre no though certain breeds have a bad reputation i think it is human intervention that train them too be vicious as after all dogs are suppose to be mans best friend
