Someone’s dog decided I was a part of their family this evening. A bit awkward for me and the owner.

I was walking back from the sea front and an old guy was walking the opposite way with his dog. It look like a golden retriever crossed with something. A big fluffy cute thing.

The dog saw me and came running over to me making a fuss and jumping up. I don’t usually stroke other people’s dogs without asking first but this one was making such a happy scene I had to stop and give him some love. The owner was very apologetic as the dog was wet but I said I didn’t mind.

This dog was going crazy like he recognised me and when the his owner put his collar back on the leash the dog refused to budge. I wasn’t in a hurry but the other guy was so I gave the do one last stroke and walked away. The dog walked off reluctantly looking back at me.

It’s one of those occasions where I wish animals could talk. I wonder why out of everyone on the street he came bounding up to me. I’ve racked my brains and I can’t think of ever meeting it before.🙂
