I've had no experience with cats myself, but I understand they can be quite affectionate and attentive, but only up to a point. Maisy, my little Scottie, jumps all over me, has to share what I'm eating, and understands every word I say. She was given to me two years ago by my sister (a cat owner) because she was unwanted.

Pretty girl! I'm a dog person. I have a Golden Retriever whom I dearly love (well, maybe that's an overstatement). I also have a cadre of barn cats -- anywhere between three and six at any given time. I appreciate their efforts, but only the dog gets in the house.
