Is it illegal If your dog... living in the UK

Living in a flat with a shared garden area. Come outside with dog and she makes a mess but I forget to bring dog bags! Still going back inside to retrive the dog bags to pick it up and clean the area. Does those 5 minutes left there mean you can get fined in your own home area even though you intend to return immediately to clean it up? Note this doesn't happen often as usually I know her schedule for making a mess. Just curious moving on forward to make sure I do the right thing.

it probably shouldn't, but it's hard to say what people will press. particularly if there are other people who do the same, but don't bother with any cleanup. I'd suggest attaching bags to the leash so they're always with you and can't really be forgotten, just make sure to always check/refill as you go out.

Unless you bring your dog back with you to pick up the turd, it would look really weird. Some random person going around picking up random shit and hiding it in their bag... 😱
