Do you say weiner dog or dachsund

My entire childhood I had no clue they were called dachsunds 馃ぃ

And its "wiener dog", not "weiner dog"...

So I guess few persons of Germanic background made it to Canada, if neither word was correct, assuming you grew up in the US's Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern neighbor...?

@Lilymoon It *is* silly, but it might well be that German immigrants preferentially came to the US in the big moves of the 19th century.

I know there is a strong Scots representation in Canada, but never thought much about where Germanic immigrants landed in the New World...
