I know, right. Rottweillers have the same 'dangerous dog' reputation. I used to have one who was scared of cats. The softest dog I have ever owned, who was trained to not to not really be phased by anything.

Yea Rottweilers are actually softies and they have these adorable look :)

I agree. I prefer the bigger dogs to the small jack russell/ chihuahua type dogs. The smaller ones seem to have too much to prove and are too unpredictable (maybe because everyone sees them as small and cute and unable to do any damage)

Indeed. It is the owner that is the problem in cases of "dangerous dogs."

I think when it is proven the owner brought up a dog to be dangerous, then the owner should be put down with their dog.

Or The dog should be in rehab together with owner to be less violent

@Cnattynat: Can't they be rehabilitated? Is the cost worth the effort? The state pays in my country.

I don't think he is dangerous either!

Literally the only goal I have in life is to get a pit bull.
It's a little ridiculous how often people try to talk me out of it cause they're "bad dogs".

They are powerful dogs bred for fighting, I can't imagine why they have a different reputation than say a Labrador retriever which was bred to retrieve birds with out destroying the bird.

I understand that, it's just I have personally found that a lot of people who label these kinds of dogs as 'dangerous' and 'in need of being put down on site due to the danger' etc completely dismiss the ones who are properly trained as family dogs or dismiss the potential danger of smaller dogs.
