I Absolutely Love Dogs

I really do love dogs. Mainly what inspired me to go into vet med. Them and James Herriot among other things. [youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Y3Tv81AP0s]

@NewMan2015 he's a cutie, too. daisy is a rescue, a papillion i'm told

@mrmoose She looks like she is that at least in part, perhaps also Pomeranian? There are three dogs in this house, lol, all rescues (it's a common trend in vet students to have lots of pets). Sven was born in a shelter, the last of his litter to be adopted. He was 11 weeks old when we adopted him. He's going to be 2 years old in less than a month.

@NewMan2015 daisy was abandonded, they said she's about 8 years old. what vet school? i've been told that 25% of human doctors wanted to be vets, but didn't make it into vet school

Poor Daisy. Our old lady here, Sadie, is 11. She was found in the country at 8 years old and brought into a shelter with a severe ringworm infection. She now has skin allergies, but otherwise is a very happy, bossy dog lol. Her old lady snores are so soothing.
ISU. Lol, wouldn't surprise me. It's hard to get into with only 30 schools in the country and a few more abroad that are AVMA accredited. About 10-12% of applicants each year are accepted.

@NewMan2015 i applied at isu, didn't make it, was told only 4 from nebraska could get in
keep up the great job, and good luck

@mrmoose Wow... How things have changed. They now have 25 per year from Nebraska go through a two-year program at UNL and transfer to ISU for 3rd and 4th years. Thank you! I appreciate it.
