I lost another cat today.
Another one of my cats got lost today. Most of my posts here are about my cats dying or getting lost... I’m probably a bad parent to them.
Basically, I have a calico cat, she’s my oldest. Out of her first 3 kittens, one got lost and two are still with me. One of those two eventually had 3 kitties of her own.
Everything was normal, but then I noticed the mom starting to go out a lot. It started with an hour, then turned into hours, until she was gone for two days. When she finally came back, she was different. She knew me, but she was fighting her own kids and grandkids as if she didn't know them. She’d sniff them and immediately get aggressive. But she still knows me, she lets me pet her, carry her, and give her kisses.
I was anxious she’d leave again, so I kept her in my room and locked the door. But she managed to flee the minute the door opened. Now, it’s been 7 days since she's been home. I don't know if she’s still alive or if she just found another territory to live in. I tried looking for her, but I can't find her anywhere.
