Farewell and good bye for now

Tomorrow I'll be going with my beloved cat for the last time to the vet. I pray that everything shall run smoothly so that she can transgress her existance into the other world, and will be joined there by my late tomcat. I found her more than thirteen years ago after visiting my mom's gravesite. That was exactly one month after my mother died aged 76 years old. My little cat was then a kitten that was starving. Now she's dreadfully sick without any hope of recovery. Her breed only has an average age of at most fourteen years, but I'm nevertheless devastated. Never has been so much love owed from one of God's creatures as now. Thank you and farewell, my little one X

😭😭😭 Oh honey, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I know exactly what that's like. My daughter is going through that same thing right now. God bless you. My deepest condolences. The truest comfort I only know in all this is that we shall see our beloved pets in heaven. I truly believe that. I believe everything will go smoothly, honey. They just fall off into a sleep with no pain.

I know we'll both be glad when we can see our beloved pets in heaven. God loves to give us the desires of our hearts, and he knows exactly how deeply we love our animals. I'm praying for you both. Again, I'm so sorry.

I wonder if it would help if you get another cat after this, right away. That's what my daughter is doing right now, and it might help you to think about it. Each one is so special and unique and it's not that we're replacing them, because they will always be loved and remembered, but at the same time, we can honor their memory by taking in perhaps a lonely and sad, shelter cat. It's like they're just sitting there begging for someone to take them home, and what a great way to honor your baby. I feel it would also help you get through this. I hate to see you sad. I still miss mine terribly. But that might help, and every little bit helps. Just think how that new little kitten would be so grateful to feel loved again and wanted, in a new home. You would be helping each other. It would bring you both joy, as it kisses and cuddles you. Just a thought, dear.

Know that your little cat won't forget you. She will be waiting for you. Praise God that we have that hope. I truly believe that. That's just something God would do. The Bible does speak of animals in heaven. And then we have those who have passed over and then come back to proclaim God's existence for His glory, and they have seen their beloved pets in heaven. In the meantime, please take care of yourself, and if you have to cry, I'm sorry. But it's okay to cry as that is why God gave us tears for healing. And if you need to reach out to any of us, please do not hesitate to pm us. That's what we're here for, to bear each other's burdens. Please remember you are not alone in this. We love you, and when you hurt, we hurt. 🫂❤🙏❤🫂

Psalm 34:18 - God is close to those who are suffering and have a heavy heart. It conveys that God is near to comfort, save, and deliver those who are humbled and contrite, and that His strength and courage are available to those who come to Him in their pain.

@LadyGrace I'm glad that the procedure went okay. The vet was great. My little one was still showing great strength as the proud feral cat that she was but with skilled handling everything was done without too much stress. As she slept in she was staring straight at me. I said the Lord's Prayer and she went went at the singing of Kumbaya my Lord
@val70 I'm glad the procedure went smoothly.

So sorry to hear this. Our animal companions give us unconditional love and immense joy, and it hurts so much when they pass away. Try to take comfort in knowing you gave your cat the best life you could. 🥀

@Rutterman Thank you
You were both blessed with each other, blessed to find each other. I'm so sorry it couldn't go on forever.

@robingoodfellow You're right but I'm glad that I gave her an extra four weeks. She stared at me and fell peacefully asleep at me singing her favourite song

Thanks for sharing beautiful things, and a wise mind.

Take time to do what you need, for as long you need.

There's always a path to follow.

I'm so sorry you're losing your cat. That's devastating. Cuddle your cat one more time and tell them good-bye. It's not forever, just for now.
val70 · 51-55
@Alyosha You're so right and I did. She died peacefully with people that loved her all around her singing her favourite song

@val70 That's beautiful and I'm so sorry. It must have been tragic for you. Beautiful, like all the best tragedies are, but still a wound like a knife.

@val70 I had a similar experience with one of my dogs about a year ago. She knew it was time, and she was ready. She wasn't to make it to Thanksgivings... she would have suffered a lot of pain.
Hireath · 36-40, M
You'll see her again. I'm 100% sure of it.
val70 · 51-55
@Hireath Thank you
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
I'm sorry to hear this. I hope the transition is good.
val70 · 51-55
@JimboSaturn It went that. The vet was terrific. She knew her for thirteen years, since she started up her practise. It's now a center with not two but seven vets. My darling went asleep staring at me while we were singing her favourite song
LaLumieri · 51-55, F

@BizSuitStacy Yes, especially for the love that received from them. I'll miss hearing her purrs. She did that even on her last day. I'm more than proud to have been her owner
Monalisasmith86 · 36-40, F
Aaaaawww seems she was your guardian angel from your mom, now she knows you’re fine now she can guide you another way
val70 · 51-55
@Monalisasmith86 Yes, that's the love there. I'm so thankful for having her around for so long as my cat. Now she'll be guiding me for sure even more

val70 · 51-55
@Musicman Oh yes, she was definitely that. My proud little feral cat. Loved her purs and smells. All of that, even of her poop that she never managed to get always right
