Cats are nice.. it was your mom who traumatized you using a cat and that was wrong of her 😐 i hope you can learn to love and accept cats and forget about your mom’s utter evil bs 😳

I understand. I have cats, both inside and outdoor (the outdoor are feral) and I love them, but I also recognize them as destructive disruptors. They sharpen their claws on the furniture, they do jump on countertops, they knock things down. There is a pervasive litterbox odor in my house despite frequent cleaning. Cats are not rule followers. Cats are chaos incarnate. I recognize the challenge this represents for you. This will be extreme therapy! Remember, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!
And the story of your mother and the cat and the food--that is beyond awful, but keep reminding yourself, the cat was not the guilty one.
I hope your cat has a loud, frequent purr. That is a huge redeeming characteristic. One of our cats has it and the other doesn't.

@Poppies the litter box and the counter are hard for me. I cook and prepare food there and it did jump right up there. Joel graded it for me but still.
I'm sure most people think I'm being silly but I'm not trying to be. Im really not
It's s a skinny little thing but friendly. And Sissy loves it already. So yeah I'm screwed

Awwww...he's adorable!!! I have cats running around my house. I know it may be tough but maybe you'll get used to it. Many people easily fall in love with cats. 😻

@Barefooter25 this is not going to be easy for me at all. it's a cat in my house.

Honestly we think cats are great. We have had a few over the years. They can be a lot of comfort. My main concern would be is he chipped and does he belong to someone.

I have 2. Is it a real problem.
Cigarguy · M
@Levenrack well the first thing I'm going to do is take it to the vet and see if it was a chip in him. He's pretty skinny tough. Then I'm going to send it's pictures to the shelters near us. If no one calms it then I guess I'll put it in the cage with the hamster. Not really I guess I'll just have to learn how to deal with my issues with cats
Levenrack · 46-50, M
Well looks like the cat's chilling already, so thats good behavior wise.

This became my favorite thread of yours

The cat distribution system is still at work. They always find their people.

Do what is best for you.

That's the hamsters doing, I just know it.
oh no its a black and white one! those kind are the best 💖
Cigarguy · M
@AliceinWonderland I thought black cats were unlucky or evil
@Cigarguy ohhh! no i dont think that's true. i had a black and white cat with a little black mustache. she reminded me of charlie chaplin. i think she felt she had to be funny in order to pay her keep! she was a stray, and she was the best cat i ever had! 🥹
