There’s A Woman In Guthrie, Oklahoma Who Has A Cat Cafe….
She has it decorated like a living area of a home with cats for adoption sitting and laying around. Customers come in and order drinks and play with the cats and some of them adopt them. She says that seeing them in a natural environment looking like a home is better than seeing them inside of a cage.
Yes there's one in St Louis and it is wonderful. People go in all the time and just play with the cats and even if they don't want to adopt one, people love going in there. It's a regular Cafe where all mingle together. I think that's a wonderful idea. That way the cats are not all caged up and get lots of loving.
I read about one once. In the story, the young lady was not allowed to have cats in her apartment, but she still loved cats...so she went to the Cat Cafe every time she needed a bit of comfort from the fur babies there.
There is a cat cafe in the Twin Cities. Customers pay for time in the 'cat room', and the hope is that some of the cats will thus be adopted. It is also a regular cafe.
@DrWatson so they basically have it separated from the cafe part? Maybe that’s what they do with this one to avoid getting heath violations and getting closed down. It looked like the living area of a home the way it was furnished. Cats lounging on sofas and chairs etc.
