First tick of the year pulled out of my cat’s face this morning ☹

Bloody ticks everywhere round here due to grazing sheep. I bought some tick pliers, which work brilliantly though. It’s like a tiny plastic claw, like part that’s on a claw hammer.

We used to have those for our dogs. We used to have our back yard sprayed for ticks, but once, when we took the dogs to Horseneck beach with us, they came back crawling with ticks. Worst thing ever. You think you've got them all...and then one of them crawls off the dog onto your SHEETS!!!!

@Oneofthestormboys On the drive home from Horseneck beach, where the dune grass was absolutely lousy with ticks, I had to hold the dogs in my lap as we drove home. Eventually, I made the ex pull over, and just started pulling ticks off the dogs with a tissue and throwing them out the window. There must have been 40 or more thrown out the window. Finally I put the dogs on the floor in the van, and looked down, and there was a tick trying to burrow through the seams of my slacks on my inner thigh!!!

YUCK!!! YUCK!!! YUCK!!!!
