My cat ate half a mouse (yes HALF) while we were at work today and now I can’t look at him the same. Lol.

He purrs and slowly blinks at me. He sleeps at our feet and gets the zoomies sometimes. He mews and rubs my ankles when he wants food. He’s so cute.

And he’s a sinister killer too. Lol.

Embrace your hunter cat, let your cat lick your spoon with that mouth. be thankful your cat didn't put its kill in your shoe as mine did after i scolded her for bringing her kills to bed with us. to top that twice Shes brought me rabbits that's right full-size adult ones. this upset me but also i was very impressed.

@Timbobajimbo I’ve heard of cats doing that - killing rabbits. They guy we order pizza from has a colony of cats around his pizzeria. They stand at the door for handouts and they bring him some of their own, incl partial rabbits!

Bad kitty! Yet impressive, it’s true.

@NiftyWhite It's interesting that people think cats bring us thier prey for addulation, praise , i'm going to take a further step and say they are also bringing us thier prey to feed us. Now my cat knows i'm her human i beleave she knows i'm big it makes perfect sense that she brought me a rabbit , what are cyour thoughts.

@Timbobajimbo I’ve read that before too. I’ve read that cats bring you prey bc they think you are a bad hunter. Lol. And…. My cat left it right under my chair at the dining room table where he knows I eat every evening. So, yes I think there’s something to that.

But could also just be that’s where he killed the mouse. I wish I had seen it happen and then I’d know for sure lol.

A bit of a side note to the feeding us with prey thing and I apologize now for the graphic nature of my post i also am not glorifying the killing of any creature the event was nature I was present when my girl cat showed up at her cat door, I have in the door it's not big. anyways there she was with a very much alive rabbit almost her size i was taken aback but still watched. Then she could not fit the rabbit thru the door with the rabbit in her mouth she kept trying to figure it out She looked up at me with definitely a please help me look
I said to her "I can't help you I can't interfere with nature" and she would be on her own merits. And the poor rabbit was just waiting for her to loosen her bite just a little and it would be long gone. Finely her third try of going headfirst she realizes hey if I turn around go in butt first i can drag this thing behind me and fit yeah and that was that for the rabbit.
she sure earned that one.
@Timbobajimbo Wild rabbits are standard fare here.😸😸 My cats are very accomplished hunters.😆
