I have a friend who calls my cat "Sh!thead", and this morning, I have to agree.

I washed his feeding mat, fed him some breakfast, turned around and the little Sh!t overturned TWO QUARTs of water...(his water container) all over the floor. I couldn't even clean it up because he didn't want to quit paddling around in the mess he had made. I couldn't believe how far the water spread. Finally, I had to give him a swat on the butt with the empty paper towel tube to get him OUT of the water.

Nothing like mopping with paper towels, by hand, while bent over double, to improve one's mood for the day. 🤣🤣🤣

Then he started in Wowing like he wanted something...and he has already been fed, has clean water, and ALL of his darned needs have been met.

Needless to say, he is NOT on my faves list this morning

They make automatic waterers for pets if he makes a habit out of that

@cherokeepatti He does.

When I have a Godinger fancy china item that he can use as a water "bowl", I try to use it. I had an 8" milk pitcher I used to use, because it was just the right height so he didn't have to crouch to drink. He did the same thing to that...unfortunately it cracked all down one side after he knocked it over.

So I switched it out with this Godinger china cannister, the lid of which I broke when I first moved here. That way my heart won't break if and when he breaks the cannister.

I mean, I love him and all, but he is hard on the equipment...🤣🤣🤣

Presently I am looking into a kitty water fountain on etsy and amazon...I like the ceramic ones but I don't want to pay that much.

@4meAndyou One of my female parakeets, Jay-Jay, loves to throw seeds from her seed cup. I thought she outgrew that habit but she started back up again last week. I kept telling her to stop and she wouldn’t, so I took both seed cups out for over 2 hours. She is in a cage with Kiwi. I finally cleaned all the cages and was putting their seed cups back and Jay-Jay didn’t move off the perch like she usually does. She stared at my hand and opened her beak up wide like she was wanting to take a chunk out of my hand. Then Kiwi scooted behind her and gave her a hard peck so she wouldn’t get me. I thanked Kiwi for taking up for me. Kiwi also had to do without seeds for over 2 hours but she knew why I removed them. Parakeets like to eat every 15-20 minutes so that was a long time to go without food for them.
