Any tips for getting a stray cat to get close to you?

I found a cat I think is my cats sibling and am trying to get it to come close to me. I had some success tonight but she escaped before I could do more than pet her.

Don't try to hard, let her get used to you and she'll gradually start to let you handle her, if she's a stray this may take some time to build up the trust but it's worth the effort.
