Meet Nala, the fluffy cat
Hello everyone,
I am the new and happy owner of a 6 year-old female cat named Nala. I adopted her about two months ago (Dec. 2021), as her previous owner had a major issue with her. Nala would constantly meow as she would refuse to stay in the house. The previous owner told me this happened after she (the owner) had a baby and also adopted a small dog. Maybe it was a matter of scent, noise, or any other type of disturbance, but Nala would literally flee the house and live in the neighbour’s garden, while she used to be very close to her owner. When I saw the ad from her owner to adopt Nala, her fluffiness immediately convinced me. I bought a few essentials in a pet store and drove to go get her.
The last time I had a cat, it was about 20 years ago, when I was still a student. Unfortunately he was attacked by dogs and did not survive, so I did not have him for long. For the past few years, I wanted to have a cat again (I think it is my spirit animal;) ) but I was not in a situation to get one.
Recently I have moved to a much bigger place, which even has a small but completely safe backyard/terrace, so I finally opened my door to a furry friend. I have to say, at first I was a bit anxious that Nala would not like her new home (or new owner!). But even on day 1, after a few hours of hesitation, she seemed already happy and was purring to her heart's content. So it has been about two months now, and I have to say I am very fond of her, she makes me smile, even sometimes laugh. She now seems very comfortable and happy, which makes me happy as I was able to give her a nice and peaceful home. Pets do give you a lot, without even trying. They are a very effective remedy against loneliness, for one thing.
I know one day - hopefully in the far future - I will be sad when it will be time to say goodbye, but for now I am enjoying her shenanigans and fluffiness. Because I am now a “crazy cat person”, I even created a YouTube channel just for her, so she can show the world how funny and fluffy she is.
