Maybe it's got a natural insect repellent?🤷‍♂️

I've been drying some mullein to send to a friend. The first and second day the cats ignore it, but the third and fourth days they lay in it and start rubbing and rolling in it. Like, very enthusiastically rolling in it.😆 No crazy eyes and claws like they get with catnip, but definitely working at getting it everywhere. Makes me wonder why. I know the seeds and flower heads can be used as fish dope, so maybe their little noses are telling them it has some beneficial quality for controlling pests.

How is mullein used and what part is used? The leaves?

Thanks!
@TooLate It's got a few uses. Some use it for tea, as a pain reliever for headaches. Smoking it as a decongestant, one small hit will make you hack up chunks of phlegm. You would have to research it...
Best to test it first by rubbing it on your skin to make sure you have no bad reactions before you try ingesting it. It can cause contact dermatitis for some people.
Just search medicinal uses for mullein.
