She pooped on me

A few weeks age, I got a new kitten and every single day she’s been fed and given fresh water. She has her litter box under my bed and I bought her a bed to sleep in under there. She loves the whole set up, but she won’t come out
So I tried to coax her out the other day and I have been working on this, but I decided to take the bed apart and hold her for a while and see if I could get her to see that it’s OK. That she can trust me.
She was so scared that she pooped on me
Which I don’t fault her for but now I’m afraid to hold her

Maybe feeding her in a different way...

Like maybe start moving her food bowl closer and closer to you...

And then when she trust your being around, maybe let her get a tad hungry and see if she'll calmly eat food from your hand... or maybe treats instead of food and just build up that trust and that your hands equal positive things happening, like food or treats.

Or get a clicker, and every time she does what you want, she gets a click and food or a treat and she'll then hopefully associate the click with a positive thing
