I'm a dog & cat person... But one thing cats do that dogs dont

There have been attacks by pet dogs on young children in the same household, but fortunately they are rare. Attacks by poorly-controlled dogs on adults, out in the open, seem more common.

I can relate a tale on the other side, from a former work mate, Dave.

Dave said he and his wife had both an Alsation, and a cat. This cat started to become more aggressive. One day, it attacked their baby son. The Alsation promptly launched itself at the feline, sending it flying across the room, to defend the baby. They had the cat put down.

We cannot really know what goes on in an animal's mind but the cat might have seen the baby as an intruder in its own territory, and that day something sparked it off.

my mother had a friend and the cat ate her puppy chihuahua while she was at work 😞

I had a dog that ate her puppies when I was a kid. It was a shock to me.

Huh? Cat moms eat their own babies dude. Lots of mammals do. Dogs don’t .
