@Longpatrol 23 years -- Wow!!! Had one myself many years ago and he was a love bug, too. Very affectionate.

@SW-User Yeah there was only a three year difference between him and me. He was definitely my dad's favourite child.

@SW-User My ginger, Mosby, is as a gentle as they come, even in his temperament dealing with a once young feisty black cat. Where even I struggled with the black cat, and I love my cats, he gently tamed the black cat. He did this with affection and love. His being his whole life, now 10 years old, has always been love and patience.
