I wish my cat didn't like to get dirty

Two nights in a row my cat has come home covered in black dust that can only be described as soot. I think she's found someone's BBQ remains 馃檮

I don't understand people that let their cats out all night

@Lilymoon Lilymoon, I was thinking the same. That's a good way to lose a cat to a cat fight. For that reason I never let mine out at night. They could get injured or maimed from a dog and lay there all night with no help.

@Lilymoon my cat is free to roam whenever, I think it's different in the UK as we don't have many wild animals.
The main worry is cars but I live in a quiet area.
I think cats will usually try to avoid fighting if possible, it's all show and noise, they learn to not like getting their eyes scratched out.

@Scarfface they get diseases and fleas and live on average much less than an indoor cat.

@Lilymoon This might be true but I think they enjoy going out. My cat was a stray so she loves being out. I was hoping she would want to be an indoor cat but she wants to go out. She's up to date with flea treatment and boosters so I think the risk is worth it.
