I'm torn!!😟 Someone offered to give me a Heeler. I've been wishing for a dog, but I'm concerned how the cats might react.

Being feral they don't really take to dogs very well, and obviously the dog would have to sleep with me. I doubt that Missy would be terribly thrilled with the idea of sharing her person and space with a dog.

@Iwillwait That's what I'm afraid of. He's being rehomed because he tries to herd the children and mom doesn't like it. They live a short walk from here, I tried to offer my time and break the bad habit, but they didn't want to try.😢 I always feel bad for dogs when they have to change families, it's heart breaking for them.

@UnderLockDown I'm not sure their instinct is all that breakable. Perhaps some of the the other working breeds that may be a realistic goal, but most heelers will always.."Heel/Hurd their surroundings around.
