Most of my cats just played "hide", when they sensed I was going to take them somewhere they figured they didn't want to go. So did one of my dogs. The cat I somehow managed to talk my parents into adopting when I was child, though, figured out the game. He actually played hide and seek with me. He was the coolest, sweetest little being...and I still think of him often.
Not Chloe. She always wants to be seen. I did, years ago, have a Keeshond named Chia. Chia was sweet, affectionate, beautiful, but not smart. She would “hide” in the snow-covered yard (she was black and silver), convinced if she kept her head turned away, you could not see her.
I even put raisers on the sectional legs so that she could have a safe place to hide. Just enough so she could crawl under the sectional. Either front or back.
