A friend of a friend keeps chickens. I have even provided him with some 40 lb buckets of red and white wheat for them. He also feeds feral cats.

Most of the cats have spotted fur!

@LavidaRaq Problem with free range is they lay eggs as they wander around, so you have to go on an egg hunt several times a day to collect them.
