We had a Labrador who died a few years back at the age of thirteen. I wasn't keen on getting another dog so my husband came home with Wilbur. He was a baby then, now three years old and has learned many words including now "Hello Sweetie" as well as "Gertcha", no swearwords thankfully. He loves to fly free for a while but throws a tantrum when he is carried back to his cage.

We have lots of birds. I feel sorry for them, stuck in their metal prison all their lives. My wife and daughter let them out a few times each day which helps, but still. Sad to see them stuck in there all the time. I would take a dog over birds any day.
