Boo-Boo Likes To Yell “Change It!” When He Doesn’t Like What’s On TV….

He did it when I had a You Tube video on tv yesterday of people doing some construction work, guess he didn’t like the noise. And he did it a couple days ago when I was playing a backyard bird video. Getting picky about what type of birds he wants to listen to, maybe he has favorites from the other bird videos I’ve played. But this morning I was sitting here without the tv on and it was quiet in the house and he yelled “Change It”…wanting me to turn on the tv I guess. He’s a bossy little bird all right.

@4meAndyou He teaches Ike to say some of those things. I hear Ike chattering sometimes and the phrases pop up. And Ike was the one to teach Boo-Boo to say “What do we get?” When he got really angry one evening watching us eat dinner. Ike also taught Boo-Boo to say “Nothing” and he definitely knows what it means. Last week he asked me “Did you eat?” And I replied “No, I didn’t eat. Did you eat.” And he said “Yep”. But the next day got something out of the refrigerator and Boo-Boo says “Nothing”…likely because I didnt give him any so I gave him some lettuce and he didn’t say anything else.

@cherokeepatti That's adorable. Those are some hungry little birdies!!! 🤣🤣🤣

@4meAndyou I think they aren’t so much hungry as they feel excluded if I give anyone else food and they don’t get served as well. For some reason it was Ike that figured it out after so many years. They want to be spoiled too.

@4meAndyou Boo-Boo started up again this morning. I went outside after Ray and the boy left for the car lot to water the figs, fill the bird bath etc. Before I went outside I put the tv on a wild birds video of all kinds of birds. I came inside and was doing something in the sunroom and heard him start yelling “Change it! Change it!” Several times and then said Thank You and yelled Music! He did it even after I came inside. So when I sat down to read the newspaper I put it on 60’s music. Now he’s happy.

@cherokeepatti Isn't that a riot! He loves music better than bird videos! 🤣🤣🤣

@4meAndyou I think he got burnt out on bird videos because I’ve been putting them on every time I leave the house for them to listen to. I used to play music CDs for hours and leave a music CD on for them to listen to but they don’t last more than an hour. Kiwi really likes to listen to music too. Next thing you know Boo-Boo will be fussing over certain types of music and wanting me to play what he prefers. The more I do for him the bossier and pickier he gets.

@cherokeepatti Well...it must be tough not to have hands, and not be able to turn the channel or fix your own food...🥺

@4meAndyou Why does Boo-Boo even need hands when he has me???

@cherokeepatti SO true... *cracks whip*...🤣🤣🤣

@4meAndyou this is the unintended consequences of having talking birds in the house
