I'd be rather pleased with myself if I could perform either move!
@ninalanyon

Congrats, btw, about having perfect teeth ('cept for a couple way in back that don't really count)

@rinkydinkydoink They are far from perfect, especially cosmetically. I broke one of my upper incisors as a nine year old and have never had it capped. When i lived in the UK I did have several filling in my molars. But they are functional and healthy

Since moving to Norway most of the work has been repairs to those repairs and eventually a couple of ceramic crowns one on each side of my lower jaw. My dentist has a fancy 3 D camera and 3 D milling machine that makes ceramic crowns on demand. The second one was done about three years ago when I went to my dentist complaining that I had cracked a molar. The dentist X-rayed and examined it and told me it was a molar with an old amalgam filling that had finally fallen apart and was beyond repair with a filling. She then apologized profusely that she didn't have time to fit a crown straight away, but could I come back that afternoon, at 13:00. So I went for a walk and some lunch. Got back at 13:00 and it was all done by 13:30. It cost about 5 500 NOK (550 USD, 410 GBP)

Damn! At a reasonable cost, too. I'm moving to Norway. Actually, it's too late now. By the time my teeth were fixed, it was time to repair or replace the first of the repaired teeth all over again... we're talking years and years and more years in Ontario.

@rinkydinkydoink The machine is from the US I believe. Apart from that last crown my last five annual check ups have found no holes. I think that's a combination of better dental procedures in Norway (possibly simply because of the passage of time but I think also because of higher expectations) and that I have become a bit better at dental hygiene over recent decades.
@ninalanyon

May you enjoy many more years of personal dental regimen and professional care.

@rinkydinkydoink You too!
