I might have done a bad...

Soooo. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves here. But...

Meet Coriander and Valerian.
I'll get better pictures when they're more comfortable with me. I have to keep my distance for now because they're scared and run away.

I adopted them today from a shelter. They're both neutered and they are believed to be adults. I don't know how true that is, however, because upon doing my own research, their breeds they were labeled as were wrong. Valerian (black) was said to be an American Rabbit. He indeed is not. He's a Havana. Coriander (Brown) is said to be a Rex mix. He has the Rex fur, but not the curly whiskers. I do believe he's a mini Rex. I'm not sure on that though.

Valerian was thrown outside by his owner. Just tossed away.

Coriander was kept in inhumane and unsanitary conditions.

They both were seized.

I couldn't let them stay there.

Valerian's initial name was Banshee
Coriander was Sage.

I already have a Sage and I liked the idea of Valerian being my next rabbit. It keeps up with the herb/spice theme. Valerian Root is a medicinal herb. I'm a medical nerd. It fits. Coriander is a spice.

So now I have:

-Sage Alexander
-Phoenix Rose
-Saffron Raphael
-Tarragon Lee
-Valerian Michael
-Coriander James

The one twin to Tarragon will be going home with my friend when he's fully weened from Phoenix at 8 weeks.

I will have six bunnos. Crazy bunno lady lol.

THAT is wonderful. I am a big believer in giving animals at shelters forever homes. They have no other chance to survive if the shelter is a kill shelter.
@4meAndyou I don't know that they euthanize rabbits. They might? Anyways. These two have had a rough life and I'm happy to bring them home. :3

@MemoirsOfTheDamned My last two cats were rescues, and one was rescued by a Vet from a kill shelter in New York...he was 6 years old, so VERY little chance of adoption. When the Vet had an adoption day after her rescue raid, we drove out to Western Massachusetts and gave my last little guy a forever home.

My son is ALSO hugely involved in adopting dogs from puppy farms, or from bad situations whereever he finds them.
