I think there's another issue here. While it might seem like he's throwing up for attention, in most cases, vomiting is a sign of a physical issue and cats generally do not intentionally vomit to get attention. If your cat is throwing up frequently, it's important to consult a veterinarian to determine the underlying cause. There may be something wrong with his stomach. I think it's important enough to check out. They're very finicky with food and if you keep changing their food it really messes up their stomach. He sounds like he's got a real problem. You should check to see if he's constipated as well cuz that can make them sick or giving them the wrong food can make them sick. There's lots of things that could be so I wouldn't ignore that. Some cats stomachs are very sensitive and maybe he's allergic to something. Maybe he's anxious or nervous.
Cats lack the complex social understanding to "fake" illness for attention. Possible causes of vomiting, may be eating something they shouldn't, hairballs, parasites, stress, food allergies, or underlying medical conditions.
We don't want our cats suffering. I hope you will take him to the vet, just to make sure.
