Tale of two guinea pigs

Our daughter's main Christmas present this year was two guinea pigs that we eventually gave her on new years day because of delivery and housing challenges. They are both girls (we have been assured), loosely related. They are very fluffy and cute and pretty, and both seem to like being handled by humans.

My daughter has been in bed for four days with a nasty virus, so hasn't yet got round to the important business of naming them. Meanwhile I've been taking care of them in my study and getting quite fond of the sub-audible little guinea-piggy sounds they make every time I enter the room 🐹🐹

They're incredible smart, social, and interactive little shits if you play with them often. Especially for a rodent. They can even be trained to do tricks and squeak on command. If you actually handle and spend enough time with them outside of the cage they can become cat and dog like in affection.

@MethDozer They've got more personality than I thought a rodent would ever be capable of. I wish my daughter would hurry up and decide on names so we can get to know them better!

@SunshineGirl Yeah they'll keep surprising you if you've never had experience with them before . We used to get our to "sing" with us by whistling at them and throw there heads back by throwing ours back.
