For people who have lost pets (died, but not lost)….

How long was it before you were back to being yourself?

I have not recently lost a pet btw. Someone I know has and they are not coping well.

@DoubleRings it is forty years since we lost our last et smokey our cat i was so upset as i buried her in the garden . 😣i am hating the thought this time comes with our current cat jess as she was my world after we got her in 2014 . she helped me tremendously too help me cope with with my bereavement of my dad

@smiler2012 animals can never know their true value in our lives. They think we are here to feed them and interact but what it means for us to share our lives together …. I wish we could explain it to them so they would understand how important they are. I feel the same way about my cat. We just got her in 2023 (we found her in our backyard, a lonely little kitten) and I already wish I could spare her from her ultimate fate. She’s just so rare and precious.
