he doesn't know i have to order him a prescription diet for the rest of his life 🥰

i was already buying him pretty expensive food so it's what it is. i'm glad i took him in on a hunch and he hasn't developed any bladder stones, just crystals

he's had the worst year in the world. my mom, who he originally lived with, passed. he moved in with me in my apartment with two stinky dogs. and then not even six months later we're driving eleven hours to a whole new state to live with five stinky dogs. all this change has probably taken a toll on him

i had noticed a couple tiny signs that were unlike him. then one night he started humping a blanket and he is not a naughty boy. so i googled it and it could be caused by discomfort from a uti. one vet trip later and he's got bladder crystals. the stress and occasional shrimp treats and the cat grass probably all contributed 😕 i didn't realize fiber could increase the risk

love you bb and this rat will get you taken care of

I've got a cat with a similar issue. She is on a low salt dry food diet, but gets half a regular wet food pouch at night. The low salt kibble isn't dearer than the normal equivalent, but both are more expensive that supermarket brands, which are loaded with salt as a flavour booster.
