I’m not sure why, but since I was a young child I couldn’t eat in someone’s home where there was an animal, even if they’re not around..
They can be seriously clean and I can still smell them somehow. I have a very sensitive sense of smell. I caught a gas leak recently next door that no one else could smell even w/me asking them to try to.
@MellyMel22 That’s interesting. Is it enough of a problem that if you were visiting from out of town you couldn’t stay with them—you’d have to go to a hotel ?
@bijouxbroussardProbably.. I started babysitting a baby not long ago and they have a beautiful cat. Supposedly not a people cat at all. Of course he was licking my arms, sitting on my lap and even at one point climbed up and put his head on my shoulder like a baby would 😆 I thought it was cute but I kinda froze and when I got home I scrubbed my arms with antibacterial soap and showered 🤣 I’m just strange.
When we went on family vacations to a huge beach house with my brother, I wouldn’t eat in the house. I left and went to get a slice of pizza for dinner every night and that’s all I ate all day. He brought his dog and his gf brought hers. The owner of the rental had two dogs there when we got there too. Eating was outta the question for me there 🤣 I know it sounds ridiculous, but I can’t help it. I’ve been like that since I was very little. I went pony riding and wouldn’t eat w/my hands for over a week, even though I washed them repeatedly all day long every time I thought of how I touched the pony 😂
