@Piper Thank you. I lost one beloved pet last year and another one the year before. But what inspired this post is the agony of a couple of friends who recently lost their pets. I can certainly relate to what they're going through.
@Rutterman I lost one very loved animal companion last year, also. Even before that though I, like you, could feel the grief of others who've lost their non-human friends.
