I don't have pets anymore...unless you count my bathroom spider...
If I did they would pack their bags and leave me if I sung to them, I sound akin to a bag of cats being murdered.

@SwampFlower I call him/her Boris after the song, I prefer to think he's a boy as I'm a little scared by spiders and the thought of lots of spider babies freaks me out.
We've come to an understanding, he lives in and around one of the pipe holes, I never clean that corner and in return he never comes rushing out and frightening me, he's got stuck in the bath a time or two and I dangle toilet paper over the side and leave the room for 10 minutes, he always goes back to his little part of the bathroom.

@AntisocialTroll If you haven't found an egg sac by now, it is probably a Boris! I love that. They will eat the other pests, as well.
We have a couple of native venomous spiders where we live and the occasional import. I let the wolf spiders and jumpers be since they will take care of the issue for me.

@SwampFlower I'm really quite scared of them even though ours can't hurt you.
I don't think it's ever had a mate so I'm really not sure if it's a him, or a her but we've been cohabiting for well over a year now with no problems.

All the time, can’t say that they’re overly grateful

They sing to me 🕊️
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Of course. 😅 Fastest way to get them to hide in their kennels.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
They prefer that I don’t.

I am tone deaf. I absolutely sing to my dogs. They seem not to notice my off key serenades.
icedsky · 51-55, M
Doesn't take much. Mine will howl along with just about anything.
I don't have yet if I will have, we will sing/roar together.

i sing to my cat when she wants me to pet her belly about how beautiful, strong, sweet and smart she is, and i sing to her about the steps i'm taking while she watches me make her meals. if i don't, she mews incessantly.
@pentacorn I guess all cats get the same kind of songs
pentacorn · F
@Ozymandiaz songs of praise and servitude 😌

My cat seemed to enjoy my piano playing; she would immediately come, sit next to me on the bench and listen, purring lightly.
But if I began singing along, she’d smack me with her paw.

No. My cats wouldn't let me live here if I did.
