NerdyPotato in some states yes in some no. However background check is mandatory for all new gun sales.
Now my training ive gone through countless rounds about 3000 hours of class room instruction 2500 hours of range instruction and practice on a regular basis at home and at a range.
Ive been through multiple schools around the us. Including instruction from a regular guy training and been to thunder ranch for pistol and rifle combat classes. Ive shot in competition from cowbow action to 3 gun.
So needless to say im well versed aroud multiple weapons platforms. My first lesson was from an active law enforcement officer followed by multiple combat veterans and other law enforcement officers.
Now im not picking on you or anything negative.
But you have zero experience handling a firearm while i carry at least 1 daily. So theres that. But heres a statistical analysis for you that hopefully will change your mind. Number of casualties in a mass shooting stopped by law enforcement is between 16 and 17. Number of casualties stopped by an armed citizen is around 3 to 4. Including the shooter. Which would you rather have?
