I heard of pitbulls being banned in a city in Iowa and people being forced to give up their family pet/best friend.

Even breeds that resemble pits are being banned. I know that they can be dangerous when raised wrong, but for the most part they're very sweet, awesome dogs. Anyone who supports this and/or would snitch on people with pits n make the police take them away I feel would also have supported the Nazi's in Hitler's Europe and would have turned in Jewish people they knew, thinking "they were helping their community". Yeah makes me sad. They are also abused often. That being said they are dangerous animals, but no more than many other breeds. People should be responsible pet owners. I have had 4 Pits and have loved every one of them to bits.

@LilithoftheTrees I agree, they're very strong so if they're aggressive they'll do more damage than other dogs so that's why they have a bad name. It'd be like banning body builders or people who like to work out a lot from certain areas cause if they decide to fight someone they'd do more damage than a normal human. I've never owned a pit but many of my friends have n they've always been soo sweet n loveable

@Sweetguy024 I agree with you. They are strong and what also makes them dangerous is their gameness. They also don’t give up and aren’t scared. I think people who own them should be aware of the dog’s traits and be responsible and make sure their animals can’t get out of their yards etc. the ones I’ve had have been the most lovable pets. That being said like any large dog with a more aggressive temperament I am fully w]aware of what they or any animal is capable of.
