Would every pet in the house have ear mites with in 3 days if 1 pet has it ?

My cat has black buildup in her ear and we noticed her scratching about 3 days ago, but from what I've ready about ewr mites they travel fast but none of my other pets have the black build up so im wondering if its something else maybe. The vet said the quickest they can see her is the middle of august btw so i wanted to see what you all thought and maybe i can do something at home, she also had a cone on for 7 days while an infection healed up so maybe that had something to do with it

A drop of mineral oil in each ear, every day, for about 4 days, should clear up everything. It helps keep the inside clean and it drowns mites.
I have outside cats, and I feed strays, I haven't had a problem with mites in years. You can also spray insect repellent onto a towel (just a little, no need to soak the towel in it), let it dry, and place the towel over the cat's favorite sleeping spot. That way you don't have to apply anything directly to the cat's fur. My outside cats never have fleas.😎👍
