But it’s just so sad …

One of our parakeets died tonight. Not sure why I cried, but I did. She was pretty special though. We had her parents, and she actually hatched here. Only one we’ve had like that. We had her 12ish years. So sad to watch a tiny creature suffer. :(

I watched my hamster die once. I felt bad because he had buried his head inside himself ti die but we didn't know that and woke him out of it. We thought we were helping him but realized later that we probably made it worse. He knew he was dying. Poor little guy. I actually have a parakeet.
