why do a lot of people now act robotic or artificial

not just online but when you're speaking to people in real life now, they give robotic replies and just act fake and artificial, almost as if they are artificial or AI....back in the day, in the long ago past, people were real, had feelings, not so much anymore and i find it frustrating as i just want to connect with real people not some 'robot'.[/i]

My husband is fake, predictable and perhaps a bit robotic too - especially when he first meets someone it’s a bunch of canned expressions and compliments he uses from his social inventory in order to fit in except it’s extremely awkward. I think he’s on the spectrum so that’s likely his reason. I’m not sure what everyone else’s issue is.
