why do a lot of people now act robotic or artificial

not just online but when you're speaking to people in real life now, they give robotic replies and just act fake and artificial, almost as if they are artificial or AI....back in the day, in the long ago past, people were real, had feelings, not so much anymore and i find it frustrating as i just want to connect with real people not some 'robot'.[/i]

I think it's an attempt not to be offensive in any way, we don't know how people lean politically, so we neutralize the threat. Just a theory though.
