If you have to think about what not to do then you probably don’t belong in that position. I let my students do a lot of “forbidden” things like socializing in class and thinking for themselves!

Actually when they socialized and thought for themselves they came up with new ideas and taught each other and the electricity of excitement was so palpable they wanted to learn and earn high grades! You have to experiment in teaching to get the best results. I taught other teachers the same methods.
