There is always some sort of a sob story about how they are dealing with something. And somehow it takes more space in the discussion than their wrongful actions towards you.
Responsibility is too much to expect. Don't even dream about the word "sorry". The best thing you can do for yourself is let go of it your own way, whatever that might be.
